Job summary

AGL’s Load Forecasting team in Melbourne seeks an experienced Senior Analyst to develop and maintain short to medium term demand forecasts for electricity and gas. You’ll lead the transition from SAP to Databricks, automate pipelines, and deploy forecasting models end-to-end while collaborating with Pricing and other stakeholders to translate complex insights for varied audiences.

You’ll have a quantitative degree, strong statistics/ML foundations, and a background in energy or trading is

Qualifications

Proficient in statistics and ML fundamentals.
Programming experience in Python/SQL; able to build tools used by others.
Hands-on automation or migration experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver accurate, timely demand forecasts to support trading positions.
Lead transition from SAP to Databricks, automate pipelines/workflows.
Operate forecasting models end-to-end (deploy, monitor, retrain).
Collaborate with Pricing and stakeholders to translate insights for diverse audiences.
Improve forecasting systems, align with risk policies.
