Owen Legal, a CBD-based law firm, seeks an experienced commercial litigator with 5+ years PAE to run files from start to finish across commercial and estates matters. Expect to handle debt recovery, family provision, and property disputes, develop case strategy, draft pleadings, negotiate, and appear at hearings with client

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ PAE in commercial litigation and/or estate disputes.
• Ability to run matters autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Unrestricted practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one) in Western Australia.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Sound judgment and client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Independently managing a caseload from initial instructions through to resolution.
• Developing and implementing case strategy.
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings and Court documents.
• Conducting negotiations and attending mediations.
• Appearing in interlocutory and other hearings as required.
• Briefing and working with Counsel.
• Advising and communicating with clients and third parties.
• Legal research.
• Contributing to the firm’s growth, including client relationships and practice development.
