Owen Legal, a CBD-based law firm, seeks an experienced commercial litigator with 5+ years PAE to run files from start to finish across commercial and estates matters. Join a small, collaborative team with the Principal, Stirling Owen, and a junior lawyer, enjoying autonomy and flexible work options including CBD office, home, or a mix.

Expect to handle debt recovery, family provision, and property disputes, develop case strategy, draft pleadings, negotiate, and appear at hearings with client

Formación

• 5+ years’ PAE in commercial litigation and/or estate disputes.
• Ability to run matters autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Unrestricted practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one) in Western Australia.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Sound judgment and client-focused approach.

Responsabilidades

• Independently managing a caseload from initial instructions through to resolution.

Owen Legal is a CBD-based law firm specialising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with additional expertise in estate disputes. As a growing practice, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping the firm’s development.

We are seeking a lawyer with 5+ years’ PAE who is confident running their own files from start to finish. You will join a small, collaborative team alongside our Principal, Stirling Owen, and a junior lawyer, managing a varied commercial and estates practice with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with the Principal on strategy and the firm’s growth.

We are open to full-time or part-time arrangements, with the option to work from our CBD office, from home, or a mix of both. We are happy to discuss hours that suit you, which makes this role well suited to experienced practitioners balancing professional work with family or other commitments.

You will run matters across the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts, including:

• Debt recovery and enforcement
• Family provision claims
• Property disputes

Key responsibilities:
