Job summary

Softtest pays pty ltd seeks a motivated LIMS Administrator (APS6 equivalent) to support the National Measurement Institute. The role manages the LIMS (Sample Manager or similar) and works with Analytical Services teams in Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory information systems.

You will configure, test and enhance functionality using VGL, SQL and related tools, prepare technical documentation, and generate reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in LIMS administration, preferably with Sample Manager or similar.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction or correction in databases.
• Knowledge of LIMS environments and laboratory workflows.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and work with IT applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the LIMS system as part of the Analytical Services team.
• Develop, configure, test and troubleshoot LIMS functionality (VGL, related tools).
• Produce technical documentation and user guides for LIMS usage.
• Collaborate with ICT and business stakeholders to deliver improvements.
• Generate reports for senior management and maintain data integrity.
