Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a LIMS System Administrator (APS6 equivalent) to support laboratories across Australia in a 12-month contract. Based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Canberra with flexible work arrangements, the role collaborates with internal ICT teams and external vendors to maintain and enhance LIMS functionality.

You will configure, script, test, and troubleshoot LIMS (Sample Manager or similar), provide user support, develop documentation and SOPs, generate management reports, ensure data

Qualifications

• Proven LIMS administration experience in scientific environments.
• Experience configuring, scripting, testing and troubleshooting LIMS functionality.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Ability to liaise with diverse business units to capture requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the LIMS across multiple laboratories, ensuring stability and performance.
• Develop and enhance system functionality via configuration and scripting.
• Collaborate with business areas to translate requirements into improvements.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage user access.
• Assist in training staff and preparing technical documentation and SOPs.
• Coordinate with ICT teams and vendors for maintenance and issue resolution.
• Generate reports and analytics for senior management.
• Maintain data quality, perform backups and apply quality controls.
