Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Estimator MEP / Lead Estimator to guide a skilled estimating team on complex projects, including high-tech and data-centre work. You will drive cost planning, benchmarking, and bid analysis, while mentoring colleagues and engaging with clients and contractors.

The role emphasizes leadership, process development, and strategic cost control across all stages of estimation, with a focus on delivering value and quality on time.

Qualifications

• 8+ years estimating experience in construction, preferably with high-tech/data-centre projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and ability to read services drawings and schematics.
• Proficient across all stages of estimating, peer reviews, and benchmarking.
• Experience building and leading an estimating team with guidance and mentorship.
• Business development and negotiation skills to represent clients with contractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong relationship-building with teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert estimating leadership through the construction stage by managing relationships with the project team, general contractors and the client.
• Develop and implement robust processes and systems for the estimating team.
• Evaluate initial cost plans and ensure they are sufficient to carry out the work within agreed timeframes.
• Own the external contractor bid analysis process.
• Develop a benchmarking strategy for each industry and incorporate the relevant data into estimates for clients.
• Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on estimate deliverables and ensure quality controls.
