Job summary

DWS is seeking a Senior Java Developer with proven banking experience to join a major greenfield transformation program in Melbourne. You will design and build microservices architectures, leveraging Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to deliver scalable solutions for leading Australian financial services clients.

This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid work with 3+ days onsite in Melbourne CBD, and a salary package up to $185K including super.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience as a Java Developer.
• Banking or financial services experience is essential.
• Strong microservices design and development experience.
• Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure.
• Extensive Spring and Spring Boot expertise.
• REST API design, development and integration.
• Git for source control; CI/CD with Jenkins or GitLab; Docker containerization.
• Monitoring/observability with Splunk; API gateway concepts.

This role will suit an experienced Java professional with strong Microservices expertise and proven Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure.

Previous banking experience is essential.
