Job summary

DWS is seeking a Senior Java Developer with proven banking experience to join a major greenfield transformation program within a leading Australian financial services organisation. This role will suit an experienced Java professional with strong Microservices expertise and proven Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure.
Previous banking experience is essential.

Salary: up to $185K (inc super)

Essential skills & experience:

• Significant professional experience as a Java Developer
• Previous banking or financial services experience is essential
• Strong experience designing and developing Microservices architectures
• Strong Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure
• Extensive experience with Spring and Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of building and integrating REST APIs
• Experience with source code repositories such as Git
• CI/CD experience using tools such as Jenkins and/or GitLab
• Containerisation experience using Docker
• AngularJS, JavaScript and/or TypeScript exposure
• DevOps mindset and modern engineering practices
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk
• Understanding of API best practices and API Gateway concepts
