Job summary

Barry Nilsson in Australia is seeking a Systems Administrator to support day-to-day administration across Microsoft 365, endpoints and network services. You will resolve escalated incidents, assist with upgrades, and help maintain a secure, reliable technology environment.

The role involves 2nd level support for Aderant and iManage, plus collaboration with the national IT team. Flexible location options include Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as Systems Administrator or senior IT support, ideally in legal or professional services.
Extensive administration of Microsoft 365 suite: Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune/MDM, Purview.
Strong knowledge of Windows endpoints, DNS, DHCP, W‑Fi, and VPN technologies; scripting a plus.
Experience with security controls, cyber risk management and ISO 27001 aligned practices.
Familiarity with Aderant or iManage is desirable.

Responsibilities

Administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Intune.
Providing escalated 2nd level support for Aderant, iManage and other legal/business applications; liaising with external vendors for 3rd level support.
Managing routine user lifecycle tasks, licences, groups, permissions and MFA.
Maintaining vulnerability management and patching across servers, endpoints and cloud services; implementing secure hardening.
Troubleshooting network services (Cisco Meraki, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP) and supporting security platforms.
