Job summary

The Department Of Industry is seeking an IT Program Manager to lead complex technology programs, providing strategic leadership and governance across the department. The role balances delivery of an existing product roadmap with emerging portfolio priorities and requires collaboration with senior executives, business owners, technology teams and delivery partners.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification or PM certification required.
• Experience leading large, complex digital transformation programs.
• Experience in government or similarly complex environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-project programs with governance, risk, and exec reporting.
• Set direction for digital systems and services design/implementation.
• Establish program controls and reporting with NSW govt frameworks.
• Lead cross-functional teams of PMs, analysts, vendors.
• Manage budgets, procurement, resources, supplier performance.
• Build relationships with executives, partners, providers.
• Oversee risks, issues, dependencies, change; ensure compliance.
• Provide evidence-based briefings to executives and governance forums.
