Job summary

Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead complex technology programs and priority initiatives. The role provides strategic leadership to transition transformation programs from delivery into ongoing operations, balancing a live product roadmap with portfolio priorities.

You will lead governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement across a multi-project portfolio, driving delivery, controls and reporting

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualification or professional certification in project management.
• Experience leading large, complex digital transformation or government programs.
• Proven governance, delivery framework, risk management and stakeholder engagement
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing vendors/partners
• Strong knowledge of program/project management methodologies and governance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-project programs with planning, governance, risk management, delivery oversight and executive reporting.
• Provide strategic direction for design, implementation and continuous improvement of digital systems and services.
• Establish program controls, governance structures and reporting aligned with NSW Government frameworks.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including project managers, business analysts, technical specialists, vendors and contractors.
• Manage program budgets, procurement, resource planning and supplier performance to deliver value for money.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives, business owners, delivery partners and external stakeholders.
• Oversee risks, issues, dependencies and change impacts while supporting business continuity and compliance.
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice and briefings to executives and governance forums.
