Job summary

CoStar Group's Domain team in Sydney is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) to shape the technical direction of the iOS native experience, partnering with Team Leaders and senior technologists to define roadmaps and prioritise initiatives that deliver business outcomes. You will provide technical leadership, define patterns and blueprints, coach engineers, and own health and performance of services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing native iOS applications
• Proven track record delivering mobile features within Agile teams
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering excellence
• Collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape roadmaps
• Deep expertise in Swift, iOS SDK, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern patterns (MVVM, VIPER, or TCA)
• Strong knowledge of mobile performance, testing, API integrations (REST/GraphQL), and microservices architectures
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical direction of your squad, ensuring scalable, resilient solutions aligned to the tech strategy
• Lead the design and implementation of architecture patterns, turning technical vision into practical, high-quality solutions
• Own the health and performance of services, proactively identifying opportunities to optimise systems and reduce risk
• Champion engineering excellence through testing, documentation, code quality, and SDLC improvements
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead innovation initiatives that enhance platform capabilities and outcomes
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering continuous learning and collaboration
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive technical alignment, delivery outcomes, and knowledge sharing
• Act as a key technical advisor for your squad, providing leadership, delivery guidance, risk management, and business-focused decisions
