Job summary

Coates is seeking a Senior Developer in Sydney to lead design, development, and enhancement of scalable software across our digital ecosystem. You will drive end-to-end lifecycle, mentor developers, and shape technical direction across platforms.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions, optimize performance, and ensure secure practices while embracing new technologies and standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years’ experience in software development.
• Strong expertise in C# .NET, React.js, Vue.js, and SQL.
• Experience designing scalable architectures and applying design patterns.
• Proven ability to optimise performance and resolve complex technical issues.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and web security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure applications and integrations.
• Drive full lifecycle delivery from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex full-stack issues.
• Champion code quality through reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Optimise application performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Ensure security best practices are embedded and vulnerabilities addressed.
• Introduce and embed new technologies, frameworks, and engineering standards.
• Mentor developers and foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
• Support production teams to resolve issues and improve user experience.
