Job summary

Vanguard Australia is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Investment Stewardship team. You will lead company research, proxy voting analysis, and engagement on governance matters, delivering recommendations aligned with fund guidelines and supporting boards and executives.

You will mentor junior analysts, drive initiatives to improve governance outcomes, and collaborate with internal partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Pursuit of advanced degree (CFA or other) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and proxy voting analysis for portfolio companies.
• Develop recommendations aligned with VCMIS proxy voting guidelines.
• Support and contribute to portfolio company engagement on governance topics.
• Develop expertise in corporate governance, stewardship, and proxy voting matters.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Present analyses and recommendations to internal stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Lead projects to improve outcomes, efficiency, and risk management.
• Mentor and coach less experienced analysts.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
