Job summary

Vanguard Australia seeks a Senior Analyst in Investment Stewardship to lead governance research, develop proxy voting recommendations, and engage with portfolio company boards and executives. The role supports long-term investor value, mentors junior analysts, and collaborates with internal partners to improve governance outcomes and reduce risk across funds.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years related work experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; CFA or other advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead research and proxy voting analysis for portfolio companies.
Develop recommendations aligned with proxy voting guidelines.
Support and contribute to portfolio company engagement on governance topics.
Develop expertise in corporate governance, stewardship, and proxy voting matters.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Present analyses and recommendations to internal stakeholders and decision-makers.
Lead projects to improve outcomes, efficiency, and risk management.
Mentor and coach less experienced analysts.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
