Job summary

Vanguard Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst for the Investment Stewardship team to lead company research and proxy voting, and engage with portfolio companies on governance matters. You will analyse governance risks, develop voting recommendations in line with VCMIS funds' guidelines, and support engagement with boards and executives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Pursuit of advanced degree (CFA or other) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and proxy voting analysis for portfolio companies.
• Develop recommendations aligned with VCMIS proxy voting guidelines.
• Support and contribute to portfolio company engagement on governance topics.
• Develop expertise in corporate governance, stewardship, and proxy voting matters.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Present analyses and recommendations to internal stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Lead projects to improve outcomes, efficiency, and risk management.
• Mentor and coach less experienced analysts.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
