Job summary

NGS Super is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Analyst to support onboarding and offboarding of investments and changes to the Fund’s structure. You’ll work with investment managers and service providers to coordinate implementation activities, ensure documentation and account setups are completed accurately and on time.

You’ll also contribute to investment reporting, unit pricing, risk and compliance processes, helping the Fund meet regulatory obligations while delivering reliable

Qualifications

The Role

The Senior Investment Operations Analyst plays a key role insupporting the successful onboarding and offboarding of investments, investment managers and changes to the Fund's investment structure.

Reporting to the Investment Operations Manager, you'll work closely with investment managers and other service providers to coordinate investment implementation activities, transitions and operational requirements. You'll be responsible for ensuring key documentation, account setup activities, operational processes and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.

You'll also support the broader Investment Operations team across investment reporting, unit pricing, operational risk management, compliance and financial reporting activities, helping ensure the Fund continues to meet its regulatory and operational obligations.

What you’ll do

• Support the implementation of Board and Investment Committee decisions, including investment manager appointments and terminations, asset allocation changes and investment funding activities.
• Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of investment managers and investment structures.
• Manage account opening, market registration, AML/KYC documentation and internal system setup requirements.
• Coordinate transitions for new and terminating investment portfolios.
• Maintain effective relationships with custodians, investment managers and other service providers.
• Assist in monitoring outsourced provider performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Prepare and maintain investment operational reports, statistics and supporting documentation.
• Identify and recommend improvements to investment operations processes and controls.
• Support the preparation of contractual documentation associated with manager transitions and other investment activities.
• Work collaboratively across Investments, Finance, Risk and Compliance teams to support operational and strategic priorities.
• Assist with the daily unit pricing process and investment cashflow activities when required.
• Oversee the completion of custodian instructions and related operational activities.
• Monitor investment accruals and support associated reporting processes.
• Assist in the management of the Operational Risk Reserve (ORR) and compliance with SPS 114 and relevant accounting standards.
• Support the review and maintenance of investment-related policies, procedures and controls.
• Prepare reports and documentation to support compliance with statutory investment requirements.
• Contribute to year-end financial reporting, audit activities and statutory accounts preparation.
• Process and approve payments to investment service providers.

About you

You’ll bring:

• Qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance or a related discipline, or a proven track record of achievement in a similar role.
• The ability to maintain current knowledge of the superannuation industry, superannuation legislation and the key features of superannuation funds.
• A demonstrated commitment to achieving strong outcomes for members and employers.
• The ability to interpret financial and economic data.
• Experience supporting investment implementation activities, including investment onboarding, offboarding and investment transitions.
• Proven investment operations experience across private market and private equity asset classes, as well as complex fund-of-fund structures.
• Experience managing relationships with outsourced providers to ensure agreed service standards are achieved.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using AI and automation tools to improve ways of working, streamline processes and support practical business outcomes.

It will be a bonus if you have:

• Experience working within a superannuation fund environment.
• Knowledge of fund accounting principles, risk management and compliance frameworks within the superannuation industry.
