Job summary

NGS Super is seeking a Salesforce Product Owner to own the member data domain, connecting Member, Data and Technology teams to deliver Salesforce, data and analytics solutions.

You’ll translate business needs into a clear member data roadmap and prioritised backlog, providing hands-on Salesforce expertise while coordinating complex development with partners to improve the member lifecycle and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, CRM, technology solutions or business partnering role.
• Strong Salesforce experience, including solution design and configuration.
• Solid understanding of customer data, data quality, governance, reporting and integration.
• Experience developing and managing roadmaps, backlogs and priorities.
• Ability to connect processes, technology, data and analytics into end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Member team and stakeholders to understand processes and define improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops translating needs into clear requirements and backlog items.
• Own and maintain the roadmap and backlog for Salesforce and member data improvements.
• Translate complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
• Provide hands-on Salesforce design, configuration and testing and coordinate development with teams.
• Support agile delivery, UAT, release readiness and post-implementation review.
• Improve data practices to enable a trusted 360-degree member view.
• Ensure member data is captured and structured to support decision-making and analytics.
• Improve data quality and governance through definitions, ownership and monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to standardise processes and automate workflows across Salesforce.

About the Role

As the Salesforce Product Owner, you'll own the Fund's member data domain and connect the Member, Data and broader Technology teams to deliver integrated Salesforce, data and analytics solutions.

You'll work across the Fund to understand business processes, pain points and opportunities, translating these insights into a clear member data roadmap, prioritised backlog and practical technology solutions.

You'll set the direction for member data requirements, solution design, process standardisation and data quality, while providing hands-on Salesforce expertise and coordinating more complex development with technical teams and external partners. A key focus will be improving how data and technology support the member lifecycle, enabling a trusted 360-degree view of our members and a better member experience.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Member team, Customer Relationship Managers and other stakeholders to understand business processes, identify underlying challenges and define improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and discovery activities, translating business needs into clear requirements, acceptance criteria and prioritised backlog items.
• Own and maintain the roadmap and backlog for Salesforce and member data improvements, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day business needs.
• Translate complex business, system, data, reporting and integration requirements into practical, scalable and supportable solutions.
• Provide hands-on Salesforce functional design, configuration and testing, and coordinate more complex development and integration activities with technical teams and external partners.
• Support agile delivery, user acceptance testing, release readiness, implementation and post-implementation review.
• Improve systems, integrations and data practices to enable a trusted 360-degree view of the member.
• Ensure member data is appropriately captured and structured to support operational decision-making, reporting and analytics.
• Improve data quality, consistency and governance through clear definitions, controls, ownership and monitoring.
• Identify opportunities to standardise processes, automate workflows and improve how Salesforce and connected systems are used across the Fund.
• Track prioritised initiatives through delivery and keep stakeholders informed of progress, decisions, risks and changes.

About You

You'll bring:

• Experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, CRM, technology solutions or business partnering role, ideally supporting customer or member-facing functions.
• The ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, facilitate discovery workshops and translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
• Strong Salesforce experience, including solution design, configuration and optimisation of customer or member-focused processes.
• A solid understanding of customer data, data quality, governance, reporting and systems integration.
• Experience developing and managing roadmaps, backlogs and priorities to balance business needs with longer-term strategic outcomes.
• The ability to connect business processes, technology, data and analytics into practical end-to-end solutions.
• Experience using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, streamline processes and deliver better business outcomes.

It will be a bonus if you have a tertiary qualification in information technology, information systems, data, business analysis, business or a related discipline, and experience with the following:

• Customer data platforms, Customer 360 solutions, marketing platforms, contact centre technologies or integration services.
• Power BI, SQL or other reporting and analytics tools.
• Superannuation, financial services or wealth management sectors.
• Product Owner, Scrum Master, Project Manager or other agile delivery responsibilities.
