Job summary

AIG Australia is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support the Regulatory Remediation Program within the Internal Audit Group. You will deliver independent assurance across Australia, focusing on governance, risk management, controls, and remediation activities.

This role forms part of Line 3 assurance and reports to senior stakeholders across risk, compliance, legal and HR. You'll work on risk-based audits, validation of remediation effectiveness, and continuous monitoring, ensuring

Qualifications

Demonstrated internal audit capability in a regulated environment.
Experience with risk-based auditing, issue validation and remediation assessment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to apply professional scepticism and sound judgement to complex issues.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality internal audit work in line with Global Audit Methodology and regulatory expectations.
Support audit coverage across Australia by assessing governance, risk management and controls.
Plan, scope and execute risk-based audits, including walkthroughs, testing and evidence review.
Validate remediation effectiveness and sustainability of management actions.
Engage with senior stakeholders across risk, compliance, legal, HR and control functions.
Use data analytics to strengthen audit planning and continuous monitoring.
