Job summary

Optus is seeking an Associate Director, Internal Audit - Networks & Technology to provide independent, risk-based assurance across our Networks and Technology environment, with a focus on telecommunications networks, cyber security, and resilience.

You will lead complex audits, develop risk-based audit plans, and partner with senior stakeholders to translate technical risks into clear business insights while delivering high-quality, evidence-based audit outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Internal Audit, Technology Risk, Cyber Security Assurance or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications networks, infrastructure, and cyber security.
• Ability to translate complex risks into business implications for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex audits across networks, technology infrastructure, cyber security, cloud services and data management.
• Develop risk-based audit plans aligned with emerging technology and regulatory risks.
• Provide independent challenge and quality oversight of audit planning, testing, findings and reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide strategic assurance recommendations.
• Coach and develop audit professionals and drive methodological improvements.
