Optus is seeking an Associate Director, Internal Audit – Networks & Technology to provide independent, risk-based assurance across the Networks and Technology environment, with emphasis on telecom networks, cyber security, and data governance. You will lead complex audits, oversee portfolio assurance, and partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen controls and resilience.

You will build trusted relationships, translate technical risks into business insights, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Internal Audit or related assurance disciplines.
• Strong understanding of telecom networks, cyber security and technology infrastructure.
• Proven ability to assess governance, risk management and control effectiveness across complex tech environments.
• Experience with risk-based audit planning and delivering independent assurance.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex audits across telecommunications networks, technology infrastructure and cyber security.
• Develop and execute risk-based audit plans aligned with emerging technology and regulatory risks.
• Provide independent challenge and quality oversight of audit planning, testing, findings and reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Technology, Cyber Security, Network Operations, Data, Risk and Compliance functions.
• Lead and develop audit professionals while driving continuous improvements in methodologies and assurance techniques.
