Job summary

Tyro Payments is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to own end-to-end audits across payments, banking, technology, finance, and operations. You will work with the Head of Internal Audit, lead complex audits, and provide insights into risks and controls while collaborating with stakeholders across Tyro.

You’ll drive annual risk-based planning, exercise professional scepticism, and employ AI tools to enhance audit quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in internal or external audit or risk assurance.
• Financial services or banking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information technology or related.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CIA; CISA valuable.
• Strong understanding of internal control concepts.
• Critical thinking and independent judgement under time pressure.
• Experience using AI tools in an audit context.
• Ability to coach others and work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present to management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on risk-based assurance engagements across Tyro's operations.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of controls including APRA standards and AML/CTF.
• Apply scepticism, test evidence, identify root causes and form independent conclusions.
• Use data analytics and AI-enabled tools to test full populations.
• Prepare clear audit reports and Board papers; track remediation actions.
• Direct and review the work of co-source and external providers.
