Job summary

TOM People in Sydney seeks a confident Manager, Internal Audit to lead the Group Audit team in delivering risk-based audits across Consumer, Business and Wealth Banking. You will provide independent insights to strengthen risk management frameworks, governance and internal controls.

You will work with business leaders, risk and compliance stakeholders, and audit teams to apply data analytics, AI and automation to enhance audit effectiveness and deliver practical recommendations.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in internal audit or risk management within financial services.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, governance and internal control processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to risk-based audit planning, identifying key business processes, risks and controls for assessment.
• Lead end-to-end internal audits, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, testing and issue identification.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management frameworks, governance arrangements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with audit subject matter experts to deliver integrated, insight-led outcomes on complex business and risk matters.
• Apply data analytics, AI and automation tools to enhance audit testing, identify trends and generate actionable insights.
