Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking an experienced Senior Instructor to design and deliver contemporary intelligence training for practitioners and operational police. Based at the Victoria Police Academy, Glen Waverley, the role focuses on developing knowledge, skills and confidence across the intelligence community.

The successful candidate will work in a small multidisciplinary team with intelligence professionals, subject matter experts and learning specialists to deliver practical, current training

Qualifications

• Experience in contemporary intelligence practice.
• Ability to translate complex intelligence concepts into practical learning experiences.
• Experience building productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster a safe, inclusive training environment.
• Experience mentoring and coaching individuals to build capability and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver contemporary intelligence training programs for practitioners and operational police.
• Develop and maintain training materials including session plans, presentations, exercises, e-learning and assessments.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to keep training current and aligned with priorities.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, learning outcomes and capability gap identification.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contemporary intelligence practices and adult learning methods.
