Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking an experienced Specialist Analyst to join the Specialist Intelligence Unit in Melbourne. The role focuses on analysing state-wide crime and community safety issues, providing evidence-based insights to support prevention, intervention and disruption efforts.

You will mentor colleagues in analytical methodologies and contribute to building Victoria Police's intelligence capability with emerging trends.

Qualifications

Demonstrated understanding of intelligence principles and methodologies with well-developed analytical skills.
Ability to apply structured analytical techniques to assess complex issues and inform decision-making.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proven experience in developing and delivering high-quality intelligence products, strategic assessments, and proposals.

Responsibilities

Scanning the environment to identify issues impacting community safety.
Analyzing trends, issues and drivers to inform senior decision makers.
Preparing high-quality intelligence products on crime and community safety.
Developing strategic intelligence for organisational use across departments.
Providing intelligence briefings to Executive Command and stakeholders as required.
