Job summary

360 Underwriting Solutions Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks an experienced Insurance Accounts Manager to lead the Insurance Accounts Team within Finance Group Services. This hands-on leadership role oversees five Accounts Officers, ensuring accurate, timely accounting across our portfolio of underwriting agencies.

You will provide daily leadership, technical oversight of receipting, trust and premium reconciliations, debtor management, month-end activities, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CA/CPA qualification desirable or in progress.
• 5+ years in insurance accounting or similar finance environment.
• Experience leading or supervising an accounting/finance team.
• Experience with high-volume transactional accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end and financial reporting.
• Exposure to audit and financial controls.
• Experience in insurance/underwriting broking or financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of five Insurance Accounts Officers/Accountants.
• Ensure daily receipts/payments processed accurately and timely.
• Oversee trust and premium reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Monitor overdue debtor balances and follow up.
• Support month-end, reporting, audit and compliance activities.
• Partner with senior finance leaders on reporting and business initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and controls.
