Job summary

Breezy Air Conditioning Pty Ltd is seeking a Lead Air Conditioning Technician to own installation projects and lead the field team in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore.

You will oversee residential ducted and split installations, with responsibility for planning, quality, and client communication, while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring completion to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced air conditioning & refrigeration technician.
• Holds a current ARCtick refrigerant handling licence.
• Strong experience with residential ducted and split-system installations.
• Can confidently run an installation with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential air conditioning installations (ducted, split, VRV/VRF).
• Direct and mentor other technicians on site.
• Plan installations and ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Communicate professionally with customers and trades.
• Complete job documentation and photos using ServiceM8.

Full-Time | $50–$60 per hour + Super + Vehicle

Breezy Air Conditioning is a growing air conditioning company based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, servicing the Northern Beaches, North Shore and surrounding areas.

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Air Conditioning Technician / Senior Installer to take ownership of our installation work and help lead our field team.

This isn’t a position where you’ll need someone looking over your shoulder. We’re looking for someone experienced, organised and confident enough to be given a job and take responsibility for delivering it properly from start to finish.

The Role

You’ll primarily be responsible for leading residential air conditioning installations, including:

• Ducted air conditioning installations
• Split and multi-split systems
• Bulkhead and concealed systems
• iZone zoning and control systems
• Smaller VRV/VRF projects
• Replacement and retrofit installations
• Commissioning and final testing
• Diagnosing and resolving installation issues
• Leading and directing other technicians on site
• Planning the installation before work begins
• Ensuring installations are neat, efficient and completed to a high standard
• Communicating professionally with customers, builders and other trades
• Completing job documentation, photos and notes through ServiceM8

We predominantly install Daikin, along with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Panasonic and other major brands.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is an experienced and qualified air conditioning & refrigeration technician
• Holds a current ARCtick refrigerant handling licence
• Has strong experience with residential ducted and split-system installations
• Can confidently run an installation without the owner needing to attend site
• Can lead and develop less-experienced technicians
• Takes pride in workmanship and presentation
• Understands airflow, duct design, refrigeration pipework, drainage and commissioning
• Can troubleshoot problems rather than simply passing them on
• Communicates well with customers and the rest of the team
• Keeps the job site clean and organised
• Takes responsibility for the finished product
• Experience with Daikin and iZone would be highly regarded.

What We Offer

$50–$60 per hour + super, depending on experience and capability.
