Job summary

Infrastructure NSW is seeking a Director, Projects to lead delivery of major capital works across Projects NSW. You will provide senior leadership across planning, design and delivery, balancing commercial, stakeholder and delivery priorities while collaborating with contractors, consultants and government partners.

The role reports to the Executive Director, Projects and is offered as a temporary appointment up to December 2029, with potential for ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the planning, design and delivery of major infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex contracts, risk and project outcomes.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across government, industry and the community.
• Collaborative leadership style and a focus on achieving outcomes through others.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, design and delivery to achieve outcomes across the end-to-end lifecycle.
• Manage schedules, costs, risks and resources to support timely delivery and value for money.
• Oversee complex commercial, contractual and technical matters.
• Secure planning approvals and maintain compliance with sustainability and statutory requirements.
• Manage works to support safe delivery and minimise disruption to stakeholders and the community.
• Build productive relationships across government, industry and the community.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting capability, accountability and performance.
• Contributing to effective governance and continuous improvement across Projects NSW.
