Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Architect to join a dynamic technology team in Sydney. You will lead hands-on delivery of infrastructure projects in a predominantly Microsoft environment, owning designs from scope through delivery and collaborating with project managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure/systems engineering experience.

Job description

We're seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Architect to join a positive, dynamic and collaborative technology team, reporting to the Head of Infrastructure.

You'll lead hands-on technical delivery of infrastructure projects within a predominantly Microsoft environment, working closely with project managers and business stakeholders to scope, design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions. This is not a pure architecture role. You'll both own and deliver solutions, while collaborating with other technical team members to deliver broader infrastructure initiatives and help mature the organisation’s delivery and architecture practices.

About you

We're looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Lead or Architect with:

• 8+ years' infrastructure / systems engineering experience
• Strong Microsoft / Windows Server expertise
• Proven solution design and end-to-end delivery experience
• Financial Services experience, ideally within a regulated enterprise environment
• Azure and/or hybrid infrastructure experience
• Strong networking fundamentals and VMware / virtualisation experience
• Understanding of security, resilience, availability and disaster recovery
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills
• A hands-on approach and willingness to own solutions through delivery
