Job summary

Banana Shire Council is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to coordinate the engineering aspects of internal and external infrastructure works within the Shire, ensuring alignment with policy, standards and legislative requirements.

You will provide technical advice, supervise a Technical Services team, manage projects and consultants, and contribute to budget monitoring and funding applications. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a C-class licence are essential, with RPEQ desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Valid Queensland C class manual driver's licence.
• QLD General Safety Induction - White or Blue Card.
• Desirable: Registered Engineer of Qld (RPEQ).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infrastructure works in line with policy and standards.
• Provide engineering support to internal and external stakeholders on projects.
• Prepare plans, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Supervise Technical Services team and manage consultants.
• Prepare funding applications and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and environment policies.
