Job summary

The Shire of Banana is seeking a Civil Engineer to coordinate the engineering aspects of internal and external infrastructure works. You will provide technical advice, prepare construction plans, engineering calculations and documentation, and supervise the Technical Services team.

Responsibilities include managing infrastructure projects and consultants to meet scope, budget and schedule, preparing funding applications, and representing Council at meetings.

Qualifications

• Hold a Queensland C class manual driver's licence.
• Must have QLD General Safety Induction – White or Blue Card.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Desirable: Registered Engineer of Qld (RPEQ).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering support for internal and external infrastructure projects.
• Prepare construction plans, engineering calculations, cost estimates and technical documentation.
• Supervise, train and mentor Technical Services team members.
• Manage infrastructure projects and technical consultants to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Prepare, submit and administer infrastructure funding applications and reporting.
• Represent Council at government, industry and stakeholder meetings.
