Job summary

North Projects is seeking a senior infrastructure advisor to lead commercial and contract management engagements across major civil projects. You will advise government agencies, infrastructure owners and private clients, shaping procurement strategies, risk allocation and dispute resolution while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Background in civil engineering with extensive infrastructure project experience.
• Experience in senior project delivery or commercial leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in procurement, risk allocation, and disputes.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost drivers.
• Experience advising government agencies and private clients.
• Established relationships in government/private infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contract management advisory engagements across major infrastructure projects and programs, providing independent advice to senior client executives and project leadership teams
• Advise on procurement and contracting strategies, delivery models, commercial frameworks, risk allocation and contract negotiations
• Provide strategic advice on claims, variations, extensions of time, contract disputes and complex commercial matters, supporting the resolution of issues and protection of client interests
• Apply practical construction delivery experience to assess project methodologies, constructability, programme assumptions, cost estimates, commercial risks and delivery strategies
• Lead independent commercial reviews, tender evaluations, contract assurance activities and assessments of contractor submissions throughout procurement and delivery
• Establish and maintain senior relationships with government agencies, infrastructure owners, contractors and private sector clients
• Identify and originate new business opportunities, lead the development of proposals and convert client relationships into new advisory engagements
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to multidisciplinary project teams, strengthening North's commercial advisory capability and supporting the development of our people
