Job summary

CarmichaelUK is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of a major rail infrastructure project in New South Wales. You will own project financial performance, contract administration and commercial risk, while guiding a small dedicated team.

You will oversee forecast, CVRs, budgets and change control, manage NEC contracts and subcontract packages, and collaborate with project leadership to ensure value and successful delivery against targets.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial management on major infrastructure projects (£100m+).
• Rail project experience is desirable.
• MRICS or CICES desirable.

• Manage subcontract procurement, payments, final accounts and disputes.
• Provide commercial input into programme, design change and project risk.
• Lead and develop a commercial team of 5+ people.
• Ensure the project achieves its financial and commercial targets.

Experience required:

• Strong commercial management experience on major infrastructure projects valued at £100m+.
• Rail experience highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial/contract law.
• Experience managing sizeable commercial teams.
• Degree or equivalent in a commercial discipline.
• MRICS or CICES desirable.
