Industrial Services Victoria Pty Ltd in Carrum VIC is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Spray Painter / Protective Coatings Applicator. You will apply protective coatings to industrial components, use high-pressure airless spray systems, and work to project specs and data sheets.

Senior Industrial Spray Painter / Protective Coatings Applicator

Industrial Services Victoria Pty Ltd – Carrum VIC

Industrial Services Victoria (ISV) is an established abrasive blasting and protective coatings business operating from a purpose-equipped facility in Carrum Downs.

We're looking for an experienced industrial protective coatings applicator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have access to dedicated industrial spraying equipment, well-equipped workshop facilities and a supportive production team, with the autonomy to apply their experience and expertise to deliver quality work efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Applying industrial protective coatings including high-build epoxies, polyurethanes and other specialist systems
• Operating, maintaining and troubleshooting high-pressure airless spray equipment
• Working from coating specifications, technical data sheets and specified WFT/DFT requirements
• Managing equipment setup, tip selection, material preparation, flushing and routine maintenance
• Monitoring application quality, film thicknesses and environmental conditions
• Providing input into job preparation, coating sequences and workshop efficiency
• Working alongside our blasting and workshop team to deliver quality results

What we offer

• $45–$55 per hour per hour + super + overtime, negotiable based on experience and demonstrated capability.
• A Full-time position on a four-day working week, with our preferred roster being Tuesday to Friday.
• Occasional Saturday overtime by arrangement.

• Workshop support for material handling, preparation and other production tasks.

About you

We're looking for an experienced industrial applicator, not someone learning high-pressure airless spraying from scratch.

The ideal candidate will have

• Substantial hands-on experience with industrial protective coatings and high-pressure airless equipment
• Confidence operating and maintaining Graco or equivalent industrial spray systems
• A sound understanding of coating specifications, film builds, recoat windows and application conditions
• Experience diagnosing equipment problems and carrying out routine servicing
• The ability to work independently, organise their application work and maintain consistent quality
• Pride in their workmanship and a practical, solutions-focused attitude
• Experience with heated airless systems, plural-component equipment or specialist protective linings would be highly regarded
• You must have a valid Drivers license
• You must have the right to work in Australia (Australian resident or hold a permanent resident visa)
• A Forklift license is beneficial but not required
• Formal qualifications are welcome but demonstrated practical experience and technical competence matter most to us.
