Job summary

SIS Australia is seeking experienced workers for abrasive blasting and protective coatings on major infrastructure projects across Victoria. The role covers surface preparation, coating application, masking, and QA checks, with strict adherence to SWMS and site safety requirements.

Candidates should have proven blasting/painting experience, RIW/White Card where applicable, and licences or tickets such as EWP or working at heights. PPE is provided and steady work on large projects is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in abrasive blasting and/or industrial painting.
• RIW ticket preferred.
• White card (construction induction) required.
• EWP and working at heights tickets highly regarded.
• Confined space and respirator fit testing an advantage.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Abrasive blasting of steel and concrete surfaces to specification.
• Applying protective and industrial coatings (airless spray, brush and roller).
• Surface preparation, masking and containment set-up.
• QA checks including DFT readings and inspection records.
• Working to SWMS, permits and site safety requirements.
• Maintaining blasting and spray equipment.

About us

SIS Australia is a specialist industrial services contractor delivering scaffolding, abrasive blasting, protective coatings and concrete remediation across VIC, SA, NSW, QLD and NT. We are ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certified and are growing our Victorian blasting and coatings crew.

You’ll be working on some of the state's biggest infrastructure and industrial projects, alongside a team that knows its craft and backs each other on site.

The role

• Abrasive blasting of steel and concrete surfaces to specification

What we're after
