Job summary

Sun Engineering Australia is seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join our Carole Park facility. You will perform industrial spray painting and sandblasting tasks and prepare surfaces to coating specifications, with an eye for safety and quality.

This role has potential to move into a supervisory position as you mentor a small team and ensure projects meet schedule requirements. Applicants with QA experience and coating system knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Industrial spray painting and sandblasting experience.
• Proficient in 3-coat painting systems (primer, intermediate & top coat).
• Proficient in sand blasting blast profile checking.
• Experience monitoring environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, etc.).
• Familiarity with QA processes – including visual inspections and documentation.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join our team at our Carole Park facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong painting and blasting experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

You Will Be Responsible For

• Performing industrial spray painting and sandblasting tasks
• Preparing surfaces and applying coatings in line with specifications
• Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and schedule requirements

Qualifications

• Industrial spray painting and sandblasting experience
• Proficient in 3-coat painting systems (primer, intermediate & top coat)
• Proficient in sand blasting blast profile checking
• Experience monitoring environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, etc.)
• Familiarity with QA processes – including visual inspections and documentation

Highly Regarded (but Not Essential)

• Coating Inspection Ticket
• NACE Certification
• Forklift Licence
