Job summary

An established Australian advanced manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join its manufacturing team. This is a hands‑on role for an experienced painter with a strong background in surface preparation, spray painting and the application of protective coatings to fabricated metal components and assemblies.

The position offers stable, long‑term employment working in a modern, well‑equipped industrial paint facility.

Qualifications

Experience as an Industrial Spray Painter or in a similar industrial painting role.
Experience preparing and painting metal components and structures.
Knowledge of surface preparation and industrial coating application.
Experience using industrial spray painting equipment.
Ability to mix and apply paints and coatings to specification.
Commitment to high-quality finish and safety.

Responsibilities

Prepare metal components and fabricated assemblies for painting.
Clean, sand and mask surfaces prior to coating.
Mix paints and coatings in accordance with manufacturer and job specifications.
Apply primers, topcoats and protective coatings using industrial spray equipment.
Apply sealants and silicone where required.
Follow paint specifications, work instructions and coating requirements.
Achieve required coating thickness, coverage and finish.
Inspect completed work for defects and ensure a consistent, high‑quality finish.
Maintain spray guns and related painting equipment.
