Job summary

ACCIONA, a global leader in regenerative infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Industrial Relations Advisor to join the Mudgee site in NSW. This hands-on, site-based role focuses on union engagement, right of entry, and maintaining positive workplace relationships across the project.

You will work with project leadership, site management and HR to proactively identify IR risks, ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act and Enterprise Agreements, and support management of subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Industrial Relations Advisor or Senior IR Advisor on major construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage union engagement and right of entry processes.
• Knowledge of the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements and relevant legislation.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic site environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for union representatives, managing day-to-day union engagement and activity across site.
• Coordinate and manage union right of entry requests, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and site protocols.
• Provide practical industrial relations advice and guidance to project leadership, supervisors and site management.
• Proactively identify emerging industrial risks, develop mitigation strategies and manage issues before they escalated.
• Manage and support the resolution of industrial disputes, grievances and workplace issues.
• Monitor compliance with applicable Enterprise Agreements, the Fair Work Act and relevant industrial legislation.
• Support the management of industrial relations matters involving subcontractors and their workforce.
• Maintain accurate records of union interactions, right of entry notices and industrial matters.
• Work closely with the broader HR/IR team to ensure a consistent approach to industrial relations across the project.
