Job summary

Ocius Technology in Australia is seeking a Senior ILS Engineer to ensure a reliable fleet of Bluebottles remains mission-ready for Defence and civilian applications.

You will provide ongoing technical support, training, and documentation, coordinating with customers and suppliers to keep the platform up and available.

This role requires Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance, with frequent engagement across defence programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Logistics Engineering within Defence or complex asset environments.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Planning, Supply Support, Test Equipment, Technical Data and Training.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation for reliability, maintenance and performance.
• Ability to produce high-standard ILS documentation and artefacts.
• Ability to collaborate across functions within structured program environments.

• Support long-term sustainment planning across supply chains and mitigate obsolescence risk.

Job description

Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.

We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.

About the Role

The Senior ILS Engineer will ensure Ocius provides our customer with a reliable and effective fleet of Bluebottles as the platform enters service. The role will ensure that the customer receives ongoing technical support, training, supplies and product support, ensuring that Ocius delivers and the customer is able to utilise the Bluebottle to its full capability.

A typical day includes:

• Engaging with our Defence customers, ensuring we are meeting our deliverables and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Supporting long-term sustainment planning across supply chains and mitigating obsolescence risk
• Assessing the impacts of potential configuration and engineering changes across the fleet.

Selection Criteria

• Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Logistics Engineering within Defence or complex asset environments
• Working knowledge across key ILS elements: Maintenance Planning, Supply Support, Support & Test Equipment, Technical Data and Training
• Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting reliability, maintenance and operational performance data
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and review technical documentation and ILS artefacts to a high standard
• Ability to engage effectively across functions within structured program environments
