Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz Australia is seeking an experienced Logistics/ILS engineer to deliver high-quality, reliable integrated communications system solutions within a systems engineering framework. You will lead a team, collaborate with engineering colleagues, and drive ILS activities across defence-related projects.

The role involves risk management, tender support, and providing guidance to peers while ensuring compliance with procedures and budgets.

Qualifications

• Specialist technical expertise in Integrated Logistics Support for engineering projects.
• Extensive experience in an integrated logistics support or similar role.
• Experience in defence engineering environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team on logistics support system solutions and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to deliver logistics outcomes.
• Ensure support activities meet approved procedures, budgets and quality.
• Identify potential issues, manage risk, and develop mitigation plans in logistics support.
• Support the ILS Manager or project engineer to achieve outcomes.
• Participate in tender support activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to peers and team.

Job description

As part of the collaborative Capability Delivery & Sustainment (CD&S) engineering team, deliver high quality and high reliability integrated communications system solutions within a Systems Engineering framework to meet project requirements. The role involves the use of logistic support tools and techniques to conduct various integrated logistic support activities required to deliver the required project support outcomes. Your tasks

• Take responsibility for and where assigned lead a team to
• Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to develop logistic support system solutions and deliverables in support of systems associated with assigned projects.
• Ensure that required support system products and activities are conducted - In accordance with approved procedures. - Within allocated budgets. - To required quality standards. - To meet or exceed customer needs and expectations.
• Assist in the identification of potential issues, management of risk, and development of mitigation plans in the logistics support domain to ensure successful project completion.
• Support the ILS Manager or assigned project engineering manager to achieve the project outcomes. Additional Duties
• Participate in tender support activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance as required to peers and team members for assigned project, or area of competence.

Your Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma or Trade Qualification in a relevant discipline and/or substantial relevant experience.
• Specialist technical expertise in the application of Integrated Logistics Support in support of engineering projects preferably in a defence environment.
• Extensive experience in an integrated logistics support or similar role. - Background in integrated logistics support preferably in a defence engineering environment.
