Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Hydraulic and Fire Services Engineer to join our Buildings Services team in Melbourne’s CBD. You will design hydraulic and fire services for major building projects, from concept through to construction, within a collaborative, client‑facing role.

You will bring 5+ years of consultancy experience, knowledge of NCC/Victorian codes, and a strong grasp of Australian Standards for water, drainage, and fire systems. Citizenship in Australia is required.

Qualifications

• A tertiary engineering degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience with quality engineering consultancies.
• Registered and endorsed as a Professional Engineer (Vic) or eligible.
• Experience delivering projects with NCC and Victorian building code frameworks.
• Experience applying Australian Standards across water, sanitary, drainage, and fire systems.
• Knowledge of fire detection and alarm system design is advantageous.
• Strong communication and self-motivated team player.
• Experience preparing calculations, sketches, reports, and drawings.
• Australian Citizenship is required.
