Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Fire Services Engineer to join the Buildings team in Brisbane. You will lead delivery of fire systems and hydraulic services across large buildings and infrastructure projects, overseeing design from concept to construction.

The role requires knowledge of fire detection alarm design, experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and applying Australian Standards. We value diverse experiences and offer flexible work arrangements where possible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fire detection alarm systems design.
• Experience managing specialist subcontractors and coordinating stakeholders.
• Experience applying Australian Standards to fire services systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of wet and dry fire systems, ensuring safe, compliant installation and achievement of project milestones.
• Providing technical advice on system engineering, design and assurance matters considering delivery, operation, and maintenance of the system.
• Be responsible for designing and delivering building hydraulic and fire services systems to meet client and project expectations, from conceptual design through to construction completion.
• Review and control technical submissions, design changes, RFIs and variations to ensure compliance with the approved fire strategy.
