Job summary

Precise is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design across construction projects in NSW. You will coordinate with project managers, estimators, subcontractors and clients to deliver practical engineering solutions from design through to commissioning.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with strong knowledge of Australian HVAC standards and a track record in commercial construction. Sydney-based, onsite with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years' experience in HVAC within Australia.
• Hands-on HVAC design for commercial construction.
• Knowledge of Australian HVAC standards and codes.
• Experience with project managers and subcontractors.
• Ability to review designs and provide practical site solutions.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Current driver's license and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate HVAC design across construction and estimating projects.
• Review designs against site conditions and standards.
• Carry out engineering calculations for sizing and installation.
• Review technical selections and provide practical solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers and construction teams.
• Attend client, design and site meetings to resolve issues.
• Review installations for quality and compliance.
• Support commissioning and handover documentation.
• Identify design risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Provide guidance to Construction Team and maintain client relationships.
