Job summary

GenusPlus Group in Australia is seeking an experienced High Voltage Cable Jointer to install, joint, terminate and test HV underground cables across major utility, mining, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Certificate III in ESI – Cable Jointing, a WA Electrical Workers Licence (A Grade), Raychem accreditation, and at least 3 years of HV jointing experience, with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Experience with HV testing and commissioning is desirable.

Qualifications

• HV jointing and termination experience on distribution and transmission networks.
• Certificate III in ESI – Cable Jointing is required.
• WA Electrical Workers Licence (A Grade) is mandatory.
• Raychem accreditation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform HV cable jointing and termination works to manufacturer specs and standards.
• Install, maintain and operate cable jointing equipment and tooling.
• Prepare and joint HV power cables and accessories.
• Complete indoor and outdoor terminations for HV equipment.
• Conduct cable fault finding, repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with HV cable testing and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and documents.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Prepare quality documentation and project reports.
