Job summary

Powertech is seeking an experienced High Voltage Cable Jointer for our Malaga office on a Full-Time Permanent basis in Western Australia. You will perform jointing and termination of underground HV/LV power cables, and HV terminations on switchgear, with opportunities to develop HV/LV testing skills.

Candidates will have Cert 3 or equivalent in HV/LV Cable Jointing, WA Driver’s License, and high-risk work license, with a strong track record in Cable Jointer roles and XLPE terminations.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as Cable Jointer.
• Experience with XLPE terminations and joints.
• Knowledge of HV/LV terminations on switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Jointing and termination of underground HV/LV power cables.
• HV Terminations on various types of switchgear.
• Installation of earthing/earth grids for substation and HV assets.
• LV works including pillar installation and terminations/joints.
• Locate underground electric cable faults for repair.

About The Role:

About You:

• Current WA Driver’s License.
• Construction White Card.
• Strong work history in Cable Jointer role.
• Have at least three years’ experience as Cable Jointer.
• Experience in completing XLPE terminations and joints.
