Zusammenfassung

PHE High Voltage, part of PHE Group, is seeking an experienced HV Cable Jointer/Terminator for a full-time position in Brisbane (Eagle Farm). You will joint, terminate and repair HV cables up to 33 kV, both underground and overhead, and support PILC to XLPE transitions, with travel across Australia.

The role requires strong HV safety knowledge, EWP and induction credentials, and the ability to mentor apprentices. FIFO/DIDO rosters may apply; candidates must be eligible to work in Australia.

Qualifikationen

• Electrical licence and Cert III in Electrotechnology or equivalent required.
• Cert III in ESI – Cable Jointing is preferred; distribution overhead certificates are advantageous.
• EWP licence and working at heights certification required.
• CPR and LVR current and valid.
• Unrestricted C class driver’s licence held.
• White/Blue construction induction card held and up-to-date.
• Ability to pass site medicals and drug and alcohol testing.

Aufgaben

• Joint, terminate and repair HV underground cables up to 33 kV (XLPE and PILC).
• Install PILC to XLPE transitions and replace pot heads and terminations.
• Terminate on overhead networks and install associated components.
• Lay and install cable in trenches, pits, conduit and tray.
• Identify and repair faults with HV test team (IR, VLF, partial discharge).
• Work to permits, isolations, SWMS and JSEAs; complete ITRs and test records.
• Mentor apprentices and junior electricians.
