Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited is seeking a Senior HR Advisor for our South Walker Creek mine site on a full-time basis (9 day fortnight). The role partners with site leaders to shape workforce strategy and deliver end-to-end HR solutions in a fast-paced mining environment.

You will influence senior leaders on people and culture matters, manage complex employee relations, and lead change initiatives while mentoring the HR team and aligning actions with site objectives.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and ER/IR matters.
• Ability to influence and coach senior leaders on people and culture.
• Experience leading HR projects and delivering outcomes autonomously.
• Collaborative mindset and focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Acting as trusted advisor to operational leaders on workforce planning and performance management.
• Leading organisational change initiatives from planning through to implementation.
• Providing senior guidance on complex employee relations matters, investigations and high-risk cases.
• Championing employee engagement programs across the site.
• Shaping succession planning and leadership development for a growing operation.
• Mentoring day-to-day HR team members.
• Delivering commercially astute HR advice aligned to site and business objectives.
• Building strong relationships with senior site leaders and acting as escalation point for people matters.

We're currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our South Walker Creek mine site on a full-time basis (9 day fortnight). Reporting directly to the HR Superintendent, this is a senior, hands-on role providing trusted, end-to-end HR partnership to site leaders, with real influence over how workforce and people strategy is shaped and delivered on site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner to operational leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations and performance management
• Leading and project-managing organisational change initiatives, from planning through to implementation
• Providing senior-level guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations and higher-risk casework
• Championing and evolving employee engagement programs across the site
• Shaping succession planning and leadership development for a growing operation
• Mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to other HR team members
• Delivering HR advice that is commercially astute, practical and aligned to broader site and business objectives
• Building strong, credible relationships with senior site leaders and acting as a key point of escalation for people matters

What You'll Bring

• Substantial experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role, ideally within mining or heavy industry
• Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including experience managing complex ER/IR matters
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders on people and culture matters
• Experience with HR Information Systems, preferably SuccessFactors
• A track record of leading projects and delivering outcomes autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative mindset, sound judgement and a genuine passion for continuous improvement
