Job summary

Stanmore Resources, an Australian mining group, seeks a Senior HR Advisor for South Walker Creek mine site on a full-time basis (9 day fortnight). Reporting to the HR Superintendent, this role provides end-to-end HR partnership to site leaders with influence over workforce strategy.

You will advise on workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations and performance management, lead change initiatives and coach senior leaders in a fast-paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• Senior HR adviser or business partner with experience.
• Knowledge of Australian employment law and ER/IR matters.
• Ability to influence and coach senior leaders on people matters.
• Experience with HRIS, preferably SuccessFactors.
• Proven track record leading HR projects and delivering outcomes autonomously.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to operational leaders on workforce planning, org design, ER and performance management.
• Lead and manage organisational change initiatives from planning to implementation.
• Provide senior guidance on complex employee relations matters and investigations.
• Champion and evolve employee engagement programs across the site.
• Shape succession planning and leadership development for a growing operation.
• Mentor and guide other HR team members on day-to-day activities.
• Deliver commercially astute and practical HR advice aligned to site objectives.
• Build strong relationships with senior site leaders and act as escalation point for people matters.

We're currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our South Walker Creek mine site on a full-time basis (9 day fortnight). Reporting directly to the HR Superintendent, this is a senior, hands-on role providing trusted, end-to-end HR partnership to site leaders, with real influence over how workforce and people strategy is shaped and delivered on site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner to operational leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations and performance management
• Leading and project-managing organisational change initiatives, from planning through to implementation
• Providing senior-level guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations and higher-risk casework
• Championing and evolving employee engagement programs across the site
• Shaping succession planning and leadership development for a growing operation
• Mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to other HR team members
• Delivering HR advice that is commercially astute, practical and aligned to broader site and business objectives
• Building strong, credible relationships with senior site leaders and acting as a key point of escalation for people matters

What You'll Bring

• Substantial experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role, ideally within mining or heavy industry
• Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including experience managing complex ER/IR matters
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders on people and culture matters
• Experience with HR Information Systems, preferably SuccessFactors
• A track record of leading projects and delivering outcomes autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative mindset, sound judgement and a genuine passion for continuous improvement
