Job summary

Strike Drilling, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to lead safety performance across operations. Based in Canning Vale, you will travel to remote sites to support compliance, investigations and continuous improvement of HSE systems.

You are an experienced HSE leader with strong incident investigation, auditing and risk management skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and coaching field teams in a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in incident investigations, auditing and risk management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work with field teams.
• Proven hands-on HSE leadership in remote/offsite environments.
• Current C Class driver's license and ability to travel regularly.

Job description

Strike Drilling, part of the Perenti Group, is a well-established minerals exploration drilling company and a leading provider of Reverse Circulation and Air Core drilling services, with operations located throughout Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior HSE Advisor provides hands-on leadership and support across Strike Drilling operations. Based in our Canning Vale office, this role involves regular travel to sites throughout Australia to drive safety performance, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture through proactive engagement with field personnel and operational teams.
• Train, coach and assess employee competencies across field operations.
• Conduct safety leadership activities, including workplace inspections, safety interactions and task observations.
• Deliver HSE training, company inductions and toolbox meetings.
• Communicate HSE requirements, initiatives and expectations across all levels of the business.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes.
• Maintain and continuously improve HSE systems, policies and procedures to meet legislative, regulatory and ISO requirements.
• Champion risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support operational teams in achieving HSE compliance objectives.
• Coordinate and conduct field audits, inspections and compliance activities.
• Provide practical HSE advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees.

About you

You are an experienced HSE leader with a strong background in incident investigations, auditing and risk management. You have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work closely with operational teams to drive safety performance. Adaptable and hands-on, you are comfortable working in remote environments and travelling regularly to site to support compliance and further promote a positive safety culture.

Role Requirements

• Exploration drilling industry experience (highly regarded)
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (essential).
• ICAM Lead Investigator certification (desirable).
• In-field training and assessment experience/qualifications (desirable)
• Valid C Class Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol testing
