Job summary

Journey Beyond is seeking a seasoned HR generalist/HR Business Partner to provide practical, proactive advice to leaders and employees across the full lifecycle. This 12‑month maternity leave cover role will operate with the General Manager and the HR team to deliver trusted partnership and a consistent employee experience in our Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures operation, based in Adelaide or Sydney.

Qualifications

• Qualified HR professional with experience across the full employee lifecycle.
• Proven ability to provide practical, business‑macing HR advice to leaders.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience in fast-paced operational environments is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters discretely.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support across recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, engagement, retention and offboarding.
• Partner with General Manager and leaders to deliver people priorities and practical outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and stakeholders.
• Coach leaders in applying HR policies and good people practices.
• Provide case support on performance, conduct, grievances, and industrial relations; escalate high‑risk matters as needed.
• Support recruitment, offers and onboarding in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
• Maintain accurate employee records and provide timely HR reporting.
